It’s raining cruisers! First came the Harleys, then the Indians, and now it’s time for Aquilas! The Hyosung Aquila 250 Indian launch is slated to be on 6th of February at the Auto Expo. Even before that, Bike Advice people have got some shots of the bike donning white and black colors.
Needless to say, the Aquila 250 looks awesome, especially in white. It has that proper cruiser presence, that stance, and that super long exhaust. If you look at the pictures, the seat looks like it will hold your ass in the most snug and comfortable position possible, making those long rides so much more fun.
There is loads of chrome for the lovers of bling, and there would be 3 color options available:
1. White 2. Black 3. RedThe bike is expected to make 25 horses and 20Nm of torque, which although not earth shattering, should be enough for our road conditions. The engine is a V twin, so expect some sweet music on the highways as you cross triple digits.
Hyosung already offers the beautiful ST7 and the modern Aquila GV650 in India, so the addition of a quarter liter cruiser is a welcome move.
Now time for the bad news! For all those people who are looking for an affordable cruiser in India, but not the Bajaj Avenger, it looks like you will need to wait a little bit longer. The Hyosung Aquila 250 is expected to be priced over 3 lacs in India. I don’t understand why this much premium for a 250cc bike, but then again there is no competition to the Aquila at this time. Looks like Hyosung will make good money with this one!
Fear not! Take this as a sign of the things to come. Indian bike market is exploding like a napalm right now, I assure you there would be something better than the Hyosung Aquila 250 very soon on our shores. Just keep your eyes open and your checkbook ready.
