We had recently shared the news that there might not be a Yamaha 250cc in the near future, turns out we were wrong, and thank God for that!
Yamaha launched the R25 at the Tokyo Motor Show recently, and the bike looks awesome! The 250cc pocket rocket should give tough competition to the Ninjas and the CBR. Although the bike at the show was a prototype, we would like to see the same thing for production too.
R25 comes equipped with a 249cc in-line 2-cylinder liquid cooled engine mated to a 6 speed gearbox. It is heavily inspired from Yamaha’s MotoGP machine the M1. If the stunning looks of R15 give us any impression, we can look forward to an awesome looking motorcycle real soon.
