KTM may launch a dirt eating monster soon!

ktm adventure in indiaWell, KTM doesn’t know when to stop, and we aren’t complaining! If the good folks at Motorbeam.com are to be believed, the company is planning to launch the Adventure 1190 in India just after it is finished with unleashing the faired beauties in beginning of 2014.

The bike has already been spotted testing in India a few weeks back, along with the Adventure 950. The news gets even better as KTM is planning to bring it in via the CKD route and not the CBU one, which means the bike will be exponentially cheaper.

The 1190 Adventure is powered by a two-cylinder 1190cc liquid-cooled engine that churns out 145bhp of peak power and 125Nm of torque, so it’s basically the kind of bike you want to be on in Ladakh. It is considered to be one of the best off-roaders in the world and gets special goodies like Bosch’s Motorcycle Stability Control system, ABS and tire pressure monitoring system.

The beast sells for 14,000 euros, which is around 12 lac rupees. If it comes via the CKD way, we expect it to be priced very competitively! Hope to see it soon.
