Dainese, the well known Italian protective gear company is coming to India soon! The Indian biking scene has been getting better and better, with launches of new bikes and iconic brands. But riding a liter class bike without proper protective gear is like doing a spacewalk naked.
The first store will open at Bangalore in association with the Tusker group, and it will be called the D-Store. There are plans to open 10 more stores across the country after that. There will be every piece of riding gear you can imagine, covering you from head to toe, including AGV helmets. There will be offerings for cyclists as well.
All the products will be imported from Italy, so prices can be expected to be a bit on the higher side. Keeping that and the good number of desi gear manufacturers like Cramter, PlanetDSG and Viaterra, we can expect there to be a good competition! But then again Dainese will probably be targeted to the premium segment and not the commuter one.
In any case, it is great news for us bikers! More choice can never be bad.
