That kid is on fire! Marc Marquez, in his rookie season at MotoGP, already leading the championship, has made life even worse for veteran Jorge Lorenzo by winning the Aragon GP today.
Starting from pole, he looked determined to take control of things from the start. But Lorenzo took the early lead, which was then wrestled back by the 20 year old with 10 laps to spare, who then took things from there to the chequered flag in style.
At the back, Dani Pedrosa suffered a freak accident, after his traction control system was damaged due to a slight contact with his teammate’s Honda. Dani then high-sided in a spectacular crash, but came out unhurt.
Crowd favorite Valentino Rossi managed his fifth podium of the season after some intense battles with Bautista and Bradl. But all eyes were on the wonder kid who has taken the world of MotoGP by its neck. Here’s how the points stack up with 4 races to go:
- Marc Marquez 278 points
